Barbera d’Alba Vigna Lisi

 

This wine is made from an attentive selection of Barbera grapes grown on the oldest vineyards located in the west and south-west of the highest area of the prime Bricco Visette hillside site.

Planting density: 5500 piante/ha
Altitude: 360 m. slm
Vinification:
no selected yeasts are used. Crushing-destemming is followed by cryo-maceration for around 36 hours. A gradual increase then helps the development of the various strains of wild yeast which are naturally present on the grapes, exploiting their potential to the full.
Maturing: 
in barriques for approx. 12 - 15 months
Ageing:
in the bottle for 6 months, at a controlled temperature of 15° C in the cellar.
Colour:
deep scarlet.
Nose:
expansive, powerful, showing blackberry and raspberry.
Taste:
full-bodied, rich and silky.
Storage temperature: from 13° to 15° C.
Serving temperature: 16° C.
Pairings:
pasta dishes, red meats and cheeses.
