This wine is intense in aromas of violet, rose, underbrush, dark-skinned berry and spice. Tightly wound and vibrant, the taut, elegantly structured palate delivers Marasca cherry, black raspberry, cinnamon and clove framed in firm fine-grained tannins and bright acidity. It's still youthfully austere, so give it time to fully develop. Drink 2013–2035.
