Integrated agriculture is an agricultural system with low environmental impact, as it provides for the coordinated and rational use of all production factors in order to minimize the use of technical means that have an impact on the environment or on the health of consumers.

 

• We use organic fertilizers to fertilize our land. We combine it with sowing of herbaceous essences able to bring nutrients to the soil and create an environment with greater biodiversity, attractive for pollinating insects and an active bacterial flora of the soil.

• Through collaboration with technicians and a meteorological data collection network, phytosanitary treatments are decided and carried out only when effectively needed and with products that have a low impact on the environment. In doing so they were able to bring healthy grapes to the cellar and with a very varied load of yeasts. It allows us to carry out natural fermentations, without the addition of selected yeasts and exploiting the different peculiarities of each yeast strain.

• At the same time these fermentations take place more slowly and therefore with a more gradual development of heat. In this way the control of the fermentation temperatures is occasional and allows us a modest energy saving.

Starting from the 2021 harvest, we have implemented our "modus operandi" by adhering to the Environmental Sustainability System (SQNPI) which provides official certification of the agronomic and oenological practices adopted. All this is summarized on the label with the symbol of a bee.
